GLAUKOS VIDEO SERIES

In honor of World KC Day, Glaukos has partnered with the NKCF to launch a video series titled “KC Perspectives: Making an iMPACT” to highlight our commitment to keratoconus patients and their families.

With this series, Glaukos will be featuring people who have a personal and/or professional connection to keratoconus and treatment options, and why it’s important to help spread awareness of the condition.

Nov. 10 WEBINAR FOR DOCTORS

On November 10, eye care professionals are invited to attend a virtual World KC Day lecture sponsored by OCULUS. Drs. Peter Hersh MD, John Gelles OD, and Steven Greenstein MD, of the Cornea and Laser Eye Institute in New Jersey present: “Modern Management of Keratoconus: From Diagnostics, Progression, to Treatment” offering a discussion of the most up-to-date treatment options for individuals with keratoconus. Nov. 11 WEBINAR FOR PATIENTS

EyePrint PROSTHETICS invites you to join two experts, Dr. Stephanie Woo and Dr. Christine Sindt for a lively discussion of how they respond when faced with contact lens challenges.  They will give insight in the decisions they make when fitting difficult-to-fit patients that result in comfort and the best possible vision.  The speakers will describe recent innovations in contact lens design and will answer “What’s Next?” – what patients with irregular corneas can expect from their contact lenses.

Nov. 17 WEBINAR FOR DOCTORS

OCULUS continues its month-long keratoconus education series for doctors. On Nov. 17, Dr. William Trattler, MD of the Center for Excellence in Eye Care in Miami will offer tips and insight into the care of seniors affected with multiple eye conditions in his talk, “Simple Solutions for Complex Cases: How to Manage Keratoconus Patients with Cataracts”. Nov. 17 NKCF WEBINAR WITH TOMMY PHAM

On November 17, NKCF will be joined by San Diego Padre outfielder Tommy Pham and Dr. Edward Bennett, OD from the University of Missouri- St. Louis College of Optometry.

Dr. Bennett will be interviewing Tommy Pham about his personal experience with keratoconus in honor of World KC Day.

Nov. 17 WEBINARS FOR OPTOMETRY STUDENTS

To celebrate World KC Day, the Southern California College of Optometry and NKCF have developed an educational series focused on students of optometry. Four virtual lectures, presented by the cornea and contact lens faculty at the Southern California College of Optometry, tie together the diagnosis, treatment options and lifetime management of patients with this condition.
